So, we’ve given Cobblestone a fair shake. We’ve been using it for close to a year, and we’ve decided that due to the high cost in the midst of free alternatives, as well as a handful of other factors, it’s time to move on.

We originally settled on Cobblesetone as a solution to the following needs:

* Prayer Chain
* Announcements
* Lifegroup Communication

It’s worked well enough as a prayer chain and for announcements, but we’ve never been able to get it fired up as a good Lifegroup communication tool. It seems that most Lifegroups are already using Facebook for event planning, photo sharing, group messaging, etcetera. Many of you have probably wondered “why learn a new tool, and have to remember *yet another* login and password when Facebook is already doing the job splendidly?”

We agree and so that’s where we’re heading.

We’ll shut down Cobblestone and start posting to these new Facebook groups next Thursday (the 26th). Thanks for bearing with us as we navigate this ever-changing landscape of options. Ideally, this change will fit right in with your existing Facebook habit!
