Jesus holds children very close to His heart and we believe our children are the future of the church.

Children's Ministry focus is to Love, Serve, and Shepherd children so they are encouraged to choose an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, grow in their relationship with Him, and to be equipped to live a life committed to serving Him.

A Note From Pastor Greg & Glenda Bostock

Children’s Ministry at Lighthouse is committed to creating kid-first experiences that are relational, Christ centered, biblically focused and fun! We couldn’t accomplish this without a large, dynamic volunteer team.  We’ve created easy first steps for you to take a trial run in kid’s ministry so you can find a way to serve in your area of passion and giftedness.

There are several ways in which you can serve:

  1. Nursery workers – Love and care for little ones birth to 24 months.

2. Classroom Teachers –We provide classes for 2 year old’s up to 5th grade. Prepare the bible lesson and activities or crafts to support the lesson. We provide a curriculum which covers everything a teacher needs to teach a lesson and provide supplemental activities to reinforce the lesson.  If you are interested in teaching we will have you start as a helper first.

3. Classroom Helpers – Partner with the teacher by interacting with the kids, assisting the teacher with check-in and check-out, tasks during lessons, activities, crafts and snacks.

4. Check-in – Greet and assist parents with the check in process, which consists of showing parents how to use the computer check in system, help ensure a registration label is printed, and hand the family off to a check-in shepherd if they need to be escorted to the appropriate room.

5. Check-in Shepherds – Direct and/or lead new families to their kid’s class rooms.

6. Hall Monitor – Oversee and keep an eye on classrooms, assist teachers if needed, answer questions parents may have, trained in certain security measures.

The volunteer commitment is generally every other week, but we can accommodate for more or less. Would love to have you on our team!
